Christmas Makes

I have been dying to post this for ages and couldn’t in case anyone saw their present. Then it was Christmas and I forgot for a few days… I bought some purse frames from here and made some glasses cases for my favourite girls.

I was quite nervous about the gluing but have bought a glue gun so thought that would be perfect. Luckily, Jim said I should test first and it turned out that the glue dries almost instantly (I’m a novice gluegunner) so that left no chance for fithering about and I knew I would be doing quite a lot of that. So because I had to do it then and there (I’m sure you know what that’s like) I had to resort to Wickes All-Purpose contact adhesive which did the job very well although it was a bit marmsy.

I loved picking the fabrics. They were all from my stash of tiny bits which other less hoardy people might have thrown away so very thrifty pressies.

I also made some great leather phone cases for the whole of my family. I didn’t take any pictures of those in progress because they were very covertly made so I was in a mild panic all the time and not thinking about blogging pictures. I will gather the ones in this house and take a picture of them for another day. I think they will make it onto my Etsy shop.
